How do I book?

Do I need a consultation first?
For new color clients, yes: a short conversation lets us plan the color, timing and price. Haircuts can be booked directly.
Where are you?
By appointment, in a private studio in Honolulu. You get the address when you book.
How long does balayage take?
Plan for a few hours. Balayage is painted by hand, and the time depends on the length, thickness and current color of your hair. You get a time estimate before your appointment.
How often should I touch up my color?
Root color usually every 4 to 8 weeks, and a bleach and color retouch every 6 to 8 weeks. Balayage grows out gently, so you can usually wait longer between visits, with a toner and gloss in between.
What is a toner and gloss?
A toner adjusts the tone of lightened hair, for example from warm to cool, and a gloss adds shine. Together they refresh your color between visits.
Do you cut men’s hair?
Yes. Men’s haircuts and men’s color are on the menu above.
Which languages do you speak?
English and Spanish; the site is also in Japanese.
How do I care for my color at home?
Use a sulfate-free shampoo made for color-treated hair, and wash with cool or lukewarm water. Use a heat protectant before hot tools, and protect your hair from sun and salt water with a leave-in product or a hat.
